Long-Term Care insurance (LTCi) is reimbursement. That means you can use this at any facility you choose. No restrictions at all. And this can be applied to any type of Long-Term Care: Nursing Home; Assisted Living Facility; Home Health Care; Adult Day Care; or Hospice.
If you were to depend on Medicare, you are beholden to the State. You do not choose where you stay, what type care, etc…
Having this coverage means freedom. Freedom to choose how you want to be cared for. Most people initially choose Home Care, because we love our homes! Your needs may change over time, and that’s okay. If later you require 24-hour care, then you can do that too.
